During a walk through Rotterdam’s Oude Noorden neighbourhood, I came across an Asian hornet. The encounter stayed with me. The following day, I drew the insect in my sketchbook using graphite on paper. What began as an unexpected moment on a walk became a drawing, and eventually this limited-edition print.

The Asian Hornet draws attention to a small encounter in everyday life. It invites you to pause and take a closer look at a creature you might otherwise walk past — or prefer to keep your distance from.

The print measures 21 × 21 cm and is available in a limited edition of 30.
